Bob “Radar” Felt was a four-year letter winner on the men’s basketball team from 1958-1961. Felt was the Mountaineers leading scorer as a freshman, averaging 14.4 points per game while pulling down 64 rebounds. He set a school freshman record for scoring 35 points in a game. He was a member of the 1961 team his senior season that finished the regular season undefeated and won the first PSAC Basketball Championship Tournament. In 73 games over the course of his career, Felt averaged 8.0 points per game (582 points) while pulling down 140 rebounds and dishing out 136 assists. In his upperclassman seasons, Felt was a long distance shooting specialist earning the nickname “Radar.” He was selected as a member of the All 1950’s team during MU’s Basketball Centennial celebration. A retired teacher, Felt lives in Athens with his wife Phyllis.
