DeCecco started every game of his four-year career at nose guard where he was a three-time All-PSAC East selection. He earned second team honors as a sophomore and first team recognition in both his junior and senior seasons. DeCecco played his first three seasons under head coach Chris Woods before playing his senior year under Jim Shiffer.
 
DeCecco never missed a play in his four seasons and is one of just four defensive linemen in school history to earn All-PSAC honors three times. He was also an All-Region and preseason All-American selection.
 
He was a member of the 2003 team that posted a school record 8-3 mark and was ranked in the NCAA Division II Top-20.
