The most prolific big-play receiver in school history, Bennett was a two-time All-American and three-time All-PSAC East selection. Bennett holds the school career record for reception yards (2,695), touchdown receptions (29), and reception yards in a season with 1,184. He is the only player in school history to eclipse 1,000 yards in a season.
 
Bennett also holds Mansfield’s record for touchdown receptions in a season with 17 in 2003. His 156 career receptions are the second most in school history. The receiver caught 11 passes in games against Lock Haven and Millersville which is second most in a game in school history.
Bennett averaged a school career-record 17.5 yards per reception. He was the only player in PSAC to record over 1,000 receiving yards in 2003 and led the PSAC in touchdown receptions with eight more than the closest receiver.
