Mansfield Athletics

Bob Widhson was a three-year starter for the football program under head coach Bernie Sabol. A two-time All-PSAC East selection at defensive end, Widhson is considered one of the top defensive players of his era. Widhson ranked among the team tackle leaders during the 1974 and 1975 seasons. He was Mansfield’s only 1^st Team Defense All-PSAC East selection in 1974 and was named to 2^nd Team All-PSAC East honors in 1975. The 1975 team was one of the top defensive teams in the PSAC and the team finished with an overall 5-4 record. He was co-captain during both the 1974 and 1975 seasons.
