Reynolds was an instrumental member of the first Mountie baseball squad to participate in the final four Division III National Championship in 1979 and was named to 1^st team All-PSAC honors. With a career batting average of .369, Dale, who was in the MU pre-engineering program, transferred to Penn State and was the leading hitter on their 1981 team.
