Joe was a 4 year varsity basketball starter and was All-Conference in 1974-1975 and 1975-1976. He ranked 15^th on MU’s all-time scoring list with 1,006 career points and served as co-captain in 1974-1975 and 1975-1976. Joe played on the PSAC Championship team in 1974-1975, NCAA Mid-Atlantic Champions in 1974-1975, and Mid-Atlantic Regional 3^rd place season with 32 vs Grove City. He also had the most rebounds in a game that season with 22 vs Shepard.
