Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Chris Cummings is the most accomplished student-athlete in Mansfield University history. A five-time All-American, Chris was a four-year letter winner in cross country, indoor and outdoor track all under head coach Mike Rohl. During his extraordinary career, Cummings earned All-PSAC honors a total of 10 times and competed in six NCAA Championship meets where he twice finished second in the nation. He was named the PSAC Male Runner of the Year twice during his career and became the first runner in school history to earn All-American honors in cross country, indoor and outdoor track. Cummings became the first male runner in school history to win a PSAC title, winning the mile run during the 2003-04 season, and would later win three more PSAC titles. He is the only Mountaineer in history to be named the national NCAA Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was named MU Male Athlete of the Year a school-record seven times.
