Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Collier was a four-year letter winner and three-year starter on the baseball team under Coach John Heaps from 1979-82. An All-PSAC East selection his junior and senior seasons, Collier set a school record with a .474 batting average in 1982. His record-setting performance was the fifth highest batting average in NCAA Division III that season. Collier was a member of the 1979 team that finished third in the NCAA Division III World Series as well as a starter on the 1980 squad that earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional. Collier was signed by the Detroit Tigers after graduating in 1982.
