Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Dave played football at Mansfield from 1972 through 1975, winning four varsity letters. Dave was a defensive tackle, an offensive guard, and a center on the special team squad. Dave was a captain on the last winning football team at Mansfield (1975 with a record of 5-4), and he started every game from the 1972 season through the 1975 season, and during the 1974 season played a few games both offensively and defensively. Dave was nominated to the second team, All-Conference squad in 1974 and an Honorable Mention All-Stater. In 1975 he made the first team All-Conference. Dave graduated from Mansfield 3.17 grade-point average and made the Dean’s list two semesters.
