A four-year member of the volleyball team, Daniels was the first player in MU history to reach the 500 mark in spike kills and in 1983 became the first to score more than 1,000 career spikes. She ended her career with 1,107. In 1983 Daniels set a record for service percentage at 92%. Daniels played on three teams that advanced to the national Championship tournament including 1980 in Spokane, 1981 in Sacramento and 1983 in Jacksonville. Over her four-year career, the teams she played on compiled a 144-37 overall record. In 1980, the team finished 35-14; 1981 29-4; 1982 37-6; and 43-7 in 1983. Named the team Most Improved Player in 1982, Daniels was MVP of the EAIA Championship tournament in 1980, MVP of the Division III Regional Championship in 1982 and selected to the eight member ALL-PSAC team.
