Beasley was a four-year starter on the football team under Hall of Fame coach Tom Elsasser from 1984-88. An All-PSAC East Second Team selection in 1986, Beasley received a medical red-shirt for 1987 after suffering a broken jaw in the opening game of the 1987 season. He returned to the field in 1988 where he was a co-captain and First Team All-PSAC East selection at linebacker.
 
An outside linebacker, Beasley led the team, and ranked among the PSAC leaders, in sacks in 1988 with 6.5. He also led the team in fumble recoveries that season with five. In 1986, Beasley ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 59 and led the team in sacks with five.
