Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Charlie was a three-year starter for the Mountaineers from 1967 to 1971 playing the forward position. He was a member of the Mansfield squad that made it to the NAIA finals in Kansas City during the 1970-71 season and the NAIA district playoff teams in '69, '70 and '71.
He was the team leading rebounder for three seasons and leading scorer for two. He was named team captain and MVP. Carlie was nominated for All-PSAC two years, named ECAC Player of the Week three times and was an All-American honorable mention in 1970-71.
After graduation, Charlie played in a European pro league for two years before playing with the Baltimore Bullets farm team in the Eastern League for two years.
