Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Jess Uhrich was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team under head coach Ruth Hermansen. The PSAC East Player of the Year for the 2006-07 season, Uhrich was just the second player to be named to that honor in school history. She was a 1st Team All-PSAC East selection in both her junior and senior seasons and was a key player on both of MU’s only two PSAC playoff appearance teams. Uhrich ranked second in the PSAC, including first in the PSAC East, in scoring (18.8 ppg) and rebounding (12.1 rpg) during her senior season. Her 508 points during the 2006-07 season is still the school’s single-season scoring record. She ranks 5th in school history in career scoring with 1,241 points and third in rebounds with 866. Uhrich was named the Winter Female Athlete of the Year in 2007.
