Ed has been Assiciate Professor HPE for 25 years and head basketball coach for 19 years. He is the “winningest coach” of any type in MU history. Basketball history includes: 300 wins, averaging 15.7 a year; PSAC Championships 1975 and 1984; Regional Championship NCAA 1975 and 1977; Regional Championship ECAC 1977 and 1980; most wins in a single season at 26; PSAC East Coach of the Year 1984; PSAC Coach of the Year 1984; East District Coach of the Year 1984 and 1985; post season play at 12 of 19 years; and Merit Award National Association of Basketball Coaches 1985. A plaque presented at his 200^th win in December 1980 said “One is not what one says he is, but what on demonstrates himself to be.”
