Mansfield Athletics

Davis was an end on the 1895 and 1896 Mansfield State Normal School teams, including the 1985 team which went undefeated. Davis scored a touchdown against Waverly in 1896, a rare feat for an end before the forward pass was part of football. Davis went on to Princeton and earned first-team Walter Camp All-American honors in 1901. A second-team Camp selection in 1902 and 1903, Davis captained Princeton to the Ivy League title in 1903. Davis was also an All-American baseball player at Princeton.
