Mansfield Athletics

David Russell of Donora, Pa. was a member of the baseball and basketball program during his time at Mansfield. Russell, class of 1963, is still considered by many of those who had the chance to watch him perform in the always sold-out Rec Center as the greatest player in school history. Russell still remains eighth in assists (392), 11th in field goals made (466) and eigth in field goals attempted (1,066) and is a member of the MU 1,000-point club (1,061). Russell also served as a member of the coaching staff upon graduation.
