Mansfield University SAAC Mission Statement
The mission of the Mansfield University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes, protecting student-athlete welfare, and fostering a positive student-athlete image – in accordance to and in alignment with the NCAA Division II SAAC Mission Statement and Purpose.

Community Engagement and Community Service
What is the difference between community engagement and community service?
Mansfield University SAAC strives to promote campus and local community engagement, as well as to provide valuable community service to the Mansfield area community. The difference between the two for our purposes is that community engagement emphasizes the gathering of Mansfield University student-athletes with community members (campus and off campus) to promote positive relationships. Our community service efforts, on the other hand, are aimed at providing assistance to individuals or groups in need.

Make-A-Wish Initiatives
Mansfield University SAAC proudly supports the Make-A-Wish foundation as the NCAA Division II SAAC community service initiative. As part of this nationwide, NCAA DII initiative, our chapter of SAAC holds regular fundraisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help provide hope for children with life threatening medical conditions. The ncaa.org website has more information about this partnership.
