Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Rene played volleyball at Mansfield from 1983 through 1987 as a setter. She was named Most Improved Player in 1984-86 and 1985-86 and team MVP in 1984-85 and 1986-87. She holds the record for the most serves completed at 1,704.
Rene played in the 1983 National Collegiate Women’s Volleyball Championship. She was ‘1983-84 All Conference; 1984-85 and 1985-86 East All Conference; and 1986-87 All Regional-NCAA Atlantic All Conference. Her statistics include all four seasons with over 100 kills in spiking and was third in number of served aces. Julian received the 1987 PSAC Scholar Athlete Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. She was co-captain in 1985-86 and captain in 1986-87.
