Arguably the best all-around basketball player to ever attend Mansfield, White was a two-time All-American and three-time All-PSAC selection. He still holds the Mountaineer career rebound record with 1,085 boards and is eighth in all-time scoring with 1,404 career points. White also holds the record for most free throws attempted in a career with 554.

Recognized as a defensive standout, White was named Most Improved Player in ’83 and ’84 and Most Valuable Player in ’85 and ’86. Named MU Winter Athlete of the Year in ’85 and ’86, he is one of just four men’s basketball players to earn the honor twice.
