Mansfield Athletics

Ferris was a 3 sports man. Basketball center-forward; baseball first base-outfield and football end. In his 1928-1929 basketball season, they were undefeated. Ferris was named “ball handler” of the basketball team. In 1931 he was captain of the team that ousted West Chester from the championship beating them on their own turf. In baseball, as a freshman, first time up against Bloomsburg he hit a home run as a pinch hitter. There were no statistics kept during his years of play.
