"Skeet" played basketball, soccer, and baseball at Mansfield from 1926-1929, and won nine varsity letters during that period. Skeet held the all-time basketball scoring record at Mansfield till 1930. He was the captain of the basetball-state championship team in '26 and in '29. He was the team's leading scorer from '26-'29. In 1930, Skeet was an assistant coach in football, basketball, and baseball at Mansfield.

Upon graduating from Mansfiel, Skeet coached high school basketball for 22 years, winning seven Class B District championships; six state quarter-final championships; and four state semi-final championships. He was also athletic director 18 years at Bradford Area School, and a member of the state PIAA athletic committee for four years, as well as a member of the PIAA basketball steering committee.
