Brannon is the most accomplished running back to ever graduate from Mansfield.

A 2000 graduate, Brannon was the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season compiling 1,024 yards on the ground in 1998. He followed that up by breaking his single season record with 1,411 rushing yards in 1999. Perhaps even more remarkable, Brannon never fumbled the ball on a school record 237 carries that season while becoming the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons.

He led the team in scoring in 1997, 1998, and 1999, finishing his career with a then record 3,268 rushing yards. Brannon capped off his career with a stellar senior season in 1999 finishing 10th in the nation in NCAA Division II in rushing, second in rushing in the PSAC and first in rushing in the PSAC East to earn First Team All-PSAC as well as First Team All-ECAC South honors. He was named the Mansfield University Fall Male Athlete of the Year in 1998 and 1999.
