Mansfield University Athletic Hall of Fame
Ed played basketball and baseball at Mansfield from 1953 through 1955. He was a forward in basketball and a shortstop in baseball, and a team captain in both sports. Ed won six varsity letters in basketball and baseball combined. In his sophomore year, Ed scored 34 points against Lock Haven in 1952. He was his team’s leading scorer in basketball in 1952 averaging 21.2 points per game, which was the second highest average in the PSAC. He was nominated for Kings College All-Opponent team. In baseball, Ed hit around the .300 mark each year he played.
