Singer earned four varsity letters in baseball from 1980 through 1983 and played first base, catched and designated hitter. He held the record for home runs in a season with 17 and most career home runs with 30.

Singer was a member of the 1980 PSAC East and Atlantic Regional Championships teams. In '82 and '83 he had the most home runs and in '83 the most RBIs.

All conference distinctions include: 81' distinguised hitter, '82 and '83 1st base and '83 preseason All-American.

He was the last recipient to be named Athlete of the Year for the entire year (1983) and was the most valuable player. He led his team in every offensive category except stolen bases and batting average in '83.
