COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey team start off their 2025 season in the preseason Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Coaches Poll on Tuesday (Sept. 2), beginning their year at No. 9 in the country. 

The Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted on by NFHCA member coaches and has no bearing on selection to the 2024 NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championship.  

For the first time under Head Coach Brittany Hansrote's tenure, the Mounties will begin the season as one of the top ten teams in the country, after coming off another highlight season for the red and black. 

Six members of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) are stamped in the poll, including three of the top four spots.
