AUSTIN, Texas –
Kenedy Stroup finished her collegiate field hockey career with an Academic All-American Third Team nod, announced in the College Sports Communicators (CSC) release on Tuesday afternoon (Jul. 8).Â
The senior becomes the second Mountaineer member this year and the first Mountaineer field hockey athlete since Brittany Ryan in 2020.Â
Stroup finished with a perfect 4.00 GPA in her Business Administration major to become one of two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) student-athletes to earn this accolade. The dual-sport athlete just became a five-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete.Â
On the field, the Mansfield Fall Athlete of the Year finished the season as a National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) First Team All-American for the first time and on her first All-PSAC First Team, her second career All-Conference team.
The senior helped the program reach their first back-to-back postseason berths in school history and remained nationally ranked all season. To finish off her career, the two-time All American inked her name with the fifth most assists in program history.Â
