LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – On Monday (Aug. 18) morning, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced the 2025 field hockey preseason poll, and the Mansfield Mountaineer field hockey team were slotted in the sixth spot, as voted on by the conference's head coaches.
Two-time PSAC Field Hockey Coach of the Year
Brittany Hansrote returns for her 11th season to lead the Mounties on a potential run for their third straight PSAC Postseason appearance.Â
The red and black return 15 veterans and 15 rookies from this season's recruiting class, bringing the experience and depth needed for the team to fit as one of the six teams to earn a preseason playoff berth.
Last season, the Mounties secured another postseason berth, recording their second straight double-digit win campaign and earning a spot in the national polls for the third year in a row.
Mansfield is set to open the season on September 6 and 7 when the team hosts the Dr. Art DeGenaro Classic at Karl Van Norman Field.
The Classic features: Kutztown, Southern Connecticut, St. Michaels College and the Mounties. Mansfield takes on St. Michael's at 11 a.m. on Sept. 6 before closing the weekend by hosting Southern Connecticut at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7.
