ITHACA, N.Y.- The Mansfield University men's track and field team took part in the Robert J. Kane Invitational, hosted by Cornell University on Saturday, Feb.4.
David Wootten finished fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:01.20.
Connor Bridwell finished eighth in the 300-meter dash with a time of 37.63. He was joined by
Brenden Sofo and
Ibra Sheriff in the race and they finished 10
th (38.05) and 11
th (39.01) respectively.
Sofo also competed in the 60-meter dash finishing 22
nd (7.29) and was joined by
Derrick Johnson and
Michael Ho, who finished 25
th (7.35) and 32
nd (7.61).
Johnson and Ho competed in the 200-meter dash as well finishing back-to-back at 19
th (24.70) and 20
th (24.75).
Four Mounties competed in the mile run.
Seth Neal was the top Mountaineer finishing 13
th with a time of 4:42.00. a trio of
Derek Simpson (4:45.87),
Isaac Showers (4:56.28), and
Baba Toure (5:00.27) took spots 15 through 17.
Neal, Showers, and Simpson were joined by Wootten for the 4x400-meter relay and finished third with a time of 3:51.39.

The Mounties are back in action on Saturday Feb. 11, as they travel to Geneva, Ohio for the Spire Indoor Games.
