MANSFIELD, Pa. - Track and Field's Alyssa Parks and Cahsid Raymond were named the 2025-26 Mansfield Mountaineers Spring Athletes of the Year after their standout seasons the department announced Wednesday June 24.

Parks earned the honor as a freshman, and is the first freshman to win athlete of the year since Raymond did for sprint football in 2021. She is the first female freshman since Kate Pratt (Softball) did it in 2010-11.  

It is Raymond's sixth time honored as Athlete of the Year, and second in track and field. He has the second most awarded athlete in school history behind Brenae Edwards and Chris Cummings.
 
ALYSSA PARKS-

Parks earned a podium finish in the Heptathlon at the PSAC Championships. She used the final two events to move herself from 11th place to overtaking ninth by single point. Parks finished with 4090 points in the event. It is the second highest score in program history. She would break the school record in the 400-meter hurdles, with a time of 1:04.62. She had top 10 program marks in the javelin, 100-meter hurdles, and high jump. Parks qualified in 4 events at the PSAC Championships. 

CAHSID RAYMOND-

Raymond closed out his illustrious Mansfield career Breaking two more school records in Outdoor Season. He bested his 200-meter dash record with a time of 20.91. He was also a part of the 4x100-meter relay team that broke a 47 year old record. They bested it two more times at the PSAC Championships finishing with a time of 41.89. They would finish fifth at the championships. Raymond earned All-Region honors and qualified for the PSAC Championships as part of five events.
