Box Score Bloom Gets Late Goal to Edge Mounties

BLOOMSBURG – Mansfield's freshman goalie Rachel Fox managed to keep Bloomsburg off the board for the first 78 minutes before Rachel Yenney scored what would be the winning goal as Bloomsburg edged Mansfield 1-0 in a PSAC women's soccer game Wednesday night.

Mansfield had chances early, with freshman Kaitlin Holborn putting shot on goal I the 10^th minute and senior Kelsey Chapman got a shot off on the goal in the 20^th minute.

PSAC scoring leader freshman Delaney Meadows had a chance to draw first blood in the 31^st minute but was denied.

Fox, who has been sensational of late, stopped 10 shots by the Huskies before Yenney got the winner off a deflected cross with 12 minutes remaining in the game.

The loss snapped a two-game non-losing streak for the Mountaineers who are 3-3-1 over the last seven games. Two of those losses have come in 1-0 games.
 
Fox had 10 saves in the while Bloomsburg Devon Haviland was credited with three saves.

Mansfield travel to Gannon, the No. 1 ranked team in the NCAA, this Saturday.
