MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team hosted the #17 Shepherd University Rams at Meyers Field for their first conference match up of 2026 on Saturday afternoon.
Mounties fell to hosted Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponent by a score of 3-0.
Angel Gulé led the way in goal, stopping seven shots from going into goal.
Addison Emenheiser and
Aaliyah Stocks had the Mountaineers two shots on goal.
The Mounties defense was strong in the first half, keeping the Rams at just one goal through the first 45 minutes.
Goalkeeper Gulè recorded three saves in the first half, serving as a wall in the net.
After going down a player due to a red card, the Mountaineers defense showed resilience and toughness, only allowing another two Shepherd goals despite the mismatch.
Gulè had another phenomenal half, stopping four more goals from finding their way in the net.
