MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineers women's soccer team hosted Millersville Saturday Sept.5 for a PSAC matchup.
The Marauders tripped up the Mounties with a 6-0 victory.
Leading a well fought defensive battle was Angel Gulé. Gulé recorded 18 saves in the game, marking her career high, and tying the fourth best saves in a single game in Mountaineer history.
The matchup started defensively with both teams not willing to allow their first goal. The Mountaineers held strong until the 22
nd minute of the game, when Millersville scored their first goal of the matchup.
The Marauders picked up one more goal in the half, marking the score 2-0 at halftime. Gulé picked up an impressive fourteen saves in just the first half alone.
The Marauders won the second half, adding four more goals to their total. Gulé picked up another four saves to etch her in Mounties history.
