FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Pratt's Home Run Gives Mounties 1-0 Win over Le Moyne

RALEIGH, NC – Kate Pratt's monster home run with two outs in the third inning lifted Mansfield to a 1-0 win over Le Moyne at the Shaw Invitational Sunday.

The home run, which soared over the left centerfield fence, was second in two days for Pratt and the 34th of her record-setting career.

Pratt also started the game on the mound going the first three innings before being relieved by sophomore Ashley Inman who picked up the win and striking out four.

While Pratt's home run proved to be the game winner, the Mountaineer defense twice saved the day. Twice, once in the third inning and again in the fifth, Le Moyne had runners on second and third but failed to score.

Mansfield second game of the day was cancelled.

The Mountaineers are 2-1 on the season and travel to Wilmington University next Saturday.
