MANSFIELD, Pa. — The Mansfield Mountaineers softball team dropped both ends of a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East doubleheader at Bloomsburg on Saturday, falling 6-0 in the opener before a 10-2 loss in game two at Jan Hutchinson Field.
GAME ONE: Bloomsburg 6, Mansfield 0
Mansfield was limited to four hits in the opener, with
Shannon Perlungher,
Sarah Shupp,Â
Liliana Moyer, and
Emma Wonsick each collecting a base hit.
In the circle,
Emma Maurer pitched five innings keeping it scoreless through four innings. She tossed two strikeouts.
Bloomsburg would plate six runs in the fifth and sixth innings to take the win 6-0.Â
GAME TWO: Bloomsburg 10, Mansfield 2
Mansfield broke through in the fourth inning of Game two. Trailing 4-0, Reinert and Shupp would be brought in to score on a single from Sherman.Â
Mansfield was unable to add more runs and surrendered six through the final two innings to fall 10-2.Â
