EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Mountaineer softball team (6-34, 3-29 PSAC East) competed against the East Stroudsburg Warriors (33-17, 21-11 PSAC East) on Saturday (May 2) afternoon, with both games won by the Warriors.
Game One: East Stroudsburg 8, Mansfield 0
The Warriors had seven unanswered runs until the sixth inning when Kaelyn Watson had the first hit for the Mountaineers to the left side.
East Stroudsburg was able to pick up one more run before calling the game, 8-0.
Game Two: East Stroudsburg 3, Mansfield 2
The Mounties started the second game with the lead with a single from Sarah Shupp to center field allowing Shannon Perlungher to score.
Perlungher scored again in the third inning with a home run right outside the center field fence.
The Warriors were finally able to score in the sixth inning three runs to take the second game 3-2.
This concludes the Mansfield Softball teams 2026 season.
