MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineer softball program had five student-athletes named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, May 26.
Senior
Emma Maurer, Juniors
Sarah Shupp and
Aubrey Reinert, and Sophomores
Reilly Storer and
Paige Reichard represented the Mountaineers on the team.
The CSC Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played
OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Maurer earned a 3.63 GPA. She pitched 74.2 innings and tossed 78 strikeouts. Batting, Maurer had a batting average of .269 and had a homerun.
Shupp had a 4.00 GPA. She started all 40 games on the year. She hit three homeruns and had 13 RBI on the season.
Reinert earned a GPA of 3.53. She started all 40 games and tied for the team lead in doubles and had a .951 fielding percentage at shortstop.
Storer earned a 3.67 GPA. She started 13 games and pitched 55.2 innings for the Mounties.
Reichard earned a 3.69 GPA and was the third Mountaineer to start all 40 games.
