COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — Two student-athletes of the Mansfield field hockey team earned the honor of being named on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II Scholars of Distinction list, the office announced Friday (Feb. 13) morning.
The Mounties continue their success in the classroom, placing another duo in
Melanie Esh and
Kyleigh Hinson in the coveted 2025 group. Esh lands on this list for her third consecutive year.
This esteemed program recognizes the academic excellence of student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional prowess, maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher throughout the fall semester of the 2025-26 academic year.
A noteworthy total of 144 undergraduate student-athletes have attained the distinguished designation of NFHCA Division II Scholars of Distinction.
