MANSFIELD, Pa. - Jason Manwaring '04 (Baseball), John Miller '94 (Football), Jake Meyers '16 (Sprint Football), and Coach Harry Hillson (1987-2019, Baseball) will be inducted into the Mansfield Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame as the class of 2025 at the 43rd celebration on Friday (Sept. 26) night. Â
"Being inducted into the Mansfield University Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame is the highest honor we can bestow on our student-athletes and coaches — and these four have more than earned their place among Mountie legends," said Interim Director of Athletics Edith Gallagher. "We are thrilled to celebrate their achievements and welcome them back home to Mansfield."Â

Manwaring played two seasons with the Mountaineers in 2002 and 2003 and became one of the most prolific hitters in program history.Â
In 2002, he put together one of the most impressive offensive performances in school history, hitting a then Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) record 23 home runs and 79 RBIs, with both remaining as Mansfield season records to this day. He led the NCAA in those categories and Mansfield won the PSAC East and advanced to the NCAA Regional Championships. Â
Manwaring earned First Team All-PSAC, All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), First Team All-American honors and was named the 2002 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) North Atlantic Regional Player of the Year in his career at Mansfield.  Â
John MillerÂ

Miller played football for the Mountaineers from 1990-1993 and was one of the top all-around players in the conference during that span. He led the team in receiving from his sophomore to his senior year and was a two-time All-American, while earning three First Team All-PSAC East honors (1991-93).
Miller holds the school record for receptions in a game with 12. He is third in career receptions (130) and eighth all-time in single-season receptions in program history with 51 in 1991. Miller finished his elite run with 1,856 career receiving yards, which stands as third in program history.Â
Miller was also a prolific punt returner compiling 593 career return yards over his four years.

Sprint FootballÂ
Myers becomes the first sprint football athlete inducted into the Mansfield Alumni-Athletic Hall of Fame. As a four-year starter, the linebacker was an All-Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) selection all through his career, including being a unanimous First Team selection in 2013. Â
Myers finished top three in tackles in the CSFL in each season. He accounted for 207 in his career, which he held the program record at the time. He still holds the record for tackles in a game (18), and defensive touchdowns in his career. He also has the second longest interception return in Mansfield sprint football history and was named Fall 2013 Male Athlete of the Year. Â

As the winningest coach in Mansfield University athletic history, Hillson directed the baseball program to more PSAC Championship titles than any other coach of any sport in school history, His 1992 team remains as the only team in Mountaineer history to play in a NCAA National Championship game. Â
Hillson amassed 892 wins since being named head coach of the program prior to the start of the 1987 season. He ranked 12th amongst active NCAA Division II head coaches in wins during the 2019 season and retired as 31st on the all-time wins list for Division II head coaches.Â
Hillson guided the Mountaineers to nine PSAC East titles (1987, 1990, 1992-96, 2002, 2004), five PSAC Tournament Championships (1992-95, 1997), four NCAA Regional crowns (1988, 1992-94), and three NCAA Division II World Series appearances (1992-94). Â
Hillson guided 120 student-athletes to All-PSAC East recognition including four Athletes of the Year, three Pitchers of the Year, and two Rookies of the Year. 21 of his players were named to All-American honors including nine First Team selections. He also coached three CoSIDA Academic All-Americans.Â
Nine former Mountaineers who have played under Hillson have been selected in the MLB Draft with 33 players advancing to the professional ranks at some level.Â
