MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineer baseball program had three student-athletes named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, June 2.
Juniors
Garrett Emerick and
Ryan Sekulski and sophomore
Cooper Rother represented the Mounties on the team.
The CSC Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played
OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Emerick earned a 3.61 GPA. He started 12 games an pitched a career high 58 innings throwing 38 strikeouts.
Ryan Sekulski earned a 3.68 GPA. He started all 48 games for the Mountaineers. He hit .305 on the year collecting 51 hits and 27 RBI.
Cooper Rother earned a 3.90 GPA. He started 41 games collecting 19 runs and 19 RBI.
