Marcus Quaker and
Cahsid Raymond collected three school records between the pair to highlight the Mansfield Mountaineers men's track team on day two of the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Slippery Rock, on Friday May 9
.
Marcus Quaker finished seventh in the decathlon with a point total of 6407. That sets the Mansfield school record previously held by Kyle Kintner in 2001.
In his five events today, Quaker finished with a time on 16.01 in the 110-meter high hurdles and was the sixth best finisher, collecting 732 points. He had the third best mark in the discus with a mark of 35.43 meters.
Quaker collected 418 points in the pole vault clearing 3.25 meters. He followed that up with 585 points with the javelin where he had a mark of 49.76.
He closed out the ten events adding the final 568 points with a 4:58.61 in the 1500-meter run.
Cahsid Raymond took fifth place in the long jump collecting another school record in the process hitting a mark of 7.10 meters.
Raymond reset his own 200-meter dash in the preliminary round finishing with 21.28, wining his heat and qualifying fifth overall
Raymond also qualified for the 100-meter dash finals on Saturday finishing seventh with a time of 10.55.
Jon McDannell finished 14
th in the 110-meter high hurdles, tying his career best 15.81. its also the third fastest time in program history.
Seth Neal closed out his career finishing 17th in the 800-meter run prelims with a time of 1:58.60.
Pius Adomako,
Jackson Doughty, McDannell, and Raymond finished ninth in the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 42.72.
Mansfield will close out the season Saturday May 10
th, on the final day of the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
