MANSFIELD, Pa. - The Mansfield Mountaineer softball program had five student-athletes named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday (May 27).
Seniors
Natalie Blackstone,
Melissa Demo,
Caydence Macik,
Annabella Putnam and sophomore
Sarah Shupp represented the Mounties on the team.

The CSC Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

To be eligible an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played
OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
Blackstone earned a 3.96 GPA, she started in 30 games on the season. She led the team with a .326 average and had 31 hits on the year.

Demo earned a 3.64 GPA, starting in 36 games. She led the team in hits with 36 and had a .316 average at the plate.
Macik earned a 3.64 GPA, she started 37 games in the outfield. Macik led the team in homeruns with six on the year.

Putnam earned a 3.58 GPA, pitching in 24 games with 20 starts in the circle. Putnam finishes her career fifth in program history in appearances (73), sixth in innings (345.0), sixth in strikeouts (272) She is fourth all-time in single season history in strikeouts (108), tied for eighth in appearances (24), and ninth in innings (126.1).

Shupp has a 4.00 GPA after the year, she started 37 games at first base this season. She led the team in RBIs this season with 22.
