MANSFIELD, Pa. -Â Owen Chambers and
Scott Woodring of the Mansfield Mountaineer men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday (Mar. 25) afternoon.
To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.
Chambers (Business Administration) earned a 3.71 GPA as a graduate student, while Woodring (Education) holds a 3.79 GPA.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15, 2025 (men) and April 16, 2025 (women).
