BETHLEHEM, Pa.-
Skylar Brown took the 60-meter dash champion and
Abigail Taylor took a bronze medal in the triple jump, to close out the final day for the Mansfield Mountaineers track and field team at the PSAC Indoor track and field championships on Monday, Feb.18.
Brown bested her school record with a time of 7.52. It's the first women's PSAC indoor champion since Lauren Norton in 2013-14 when she won the 3K and 5K.
It's Brown's first indoor championship medal at the PSAC Championships and fourth All-Conference finish of her career.
Taylor claimed her third indoor All-Conference finish, in her career, with a third place finish in a highly competitive triple jump. Her best jump was her final jump of the day besting her record jump with a mark of 11.96 meters.
David Wootten finished 10
th in the 3K with a time of 8:52.54, rising up 13 spots from where he was seated.
A quartet of
Jackson Doughty,
Seth Neal,
Ibrahim Sheriff, and
Victor Ortiz finished 12
th with a combined time of 3:40.34.
This concludes the indoor track and field season.
