MANSFIELD, Pa. – Mansfield women's soccer athletes
Alyssa Shuman and
Caitlyn Hoppe were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
To be eligible an undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played
OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
Shuman has a cumulative 3.79 GPA, in the nursing major. She started 15 games and appeared in 17 through the season. Shuman made 123 saves on the year, leading the conference with the most.
Hoppe holds a 3.68 GPA in the criminal justice program. She played in 16 games and started 12 of them. She had six shots on the year and 4 on net.
