CORTLAND, N.Y.- The Mansfield Mountaineers men's track and field team competed at the Cortland Classic on April 21-22.
In the 3K steeplechase,
Derek Simpson was the top Mountie finishing fourth with a time of 10:21.88.
Seth Neal finished fifth, with a time of 10:31.73 and
Baba Toure took the eighth spot with a time of 10:52.06.
David Wootten finished ninth in the 800-meter run with a 1:59.55 time, and Toure finished 25
th in 2:08.64.
On Friday evening Wootten led a contingent of Mounties in the 1500-meter run finishing sixth with a time of 4:06.35.
Isaac Showers finished 24
th (4:29.89),
Owen Showers finished 35
th (4:52.65) and
Simon Richards finished 37
th (5:07.15) respectively.
Brenden Sofo finished eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.37.
The Mounties are back in action at the Penn Relays from April 27-30 as well as the Maroon and Gold Invite hosted by Bloomsburg on April 29.
