MANSFIELD – The Mounties hit the road to face PSAC East foe Bloomsburg University for the final time this season on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. inside Nelson Field House.

The Mounties (6-16, 5-12 PSAC) Â are tied with Bloomsburg (8-15, 5-12 PSAC) for the eighth spot in the PSAC East, but can quickly gain ground with a win and some help elsewhere.

A Mounties win and a Shepherd University loss would pole vault Mansfield into the seventh slot and one game out of the playoffs with four games to go.

The Mounties have struggled away from Decker Gymnasium, coming into Wednesday with a 1-8 road record, but defeated Bloomsburg, 81-75 on Jan. 3 at home.

LAST TIME OUT
- The Mounties fell to Shippensburg University on Feb. 8, 81-55.
- Junior Eli Alvin went 6-of-10 from the field, while adding three rebounds. Senior Trevor English netted 13 points and six rebounds and senior Jahmir Green scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds.
- The Mounties suffered from a cold shooting night from behind the arch as Shippensburg made 10 more three pointers. The Raiders went 11-of-26 from three and shot 47 percent from the floor compared to Mansfield's 38 percent.
- The Raiders jumped out to a 10-2 lead through the opening four minutes, before Green led the Mounties on a 6-2 run to cut the deficit to four with 14:50 to go. The Raiders responded with a 10-2 run over the next five minutes to extend their lead to 24-12. Two straight baskets in the paint from English cut the Mountaineer deficit to 24-16, but the Raiders closed out the half on a 15-3 run.
- The Mounties doubled their production in the second half, improving to 46 percent (15-of-33) shooting and cutting their turnovers from six to two.
SCOUTING OPPONENT
- The Huskies have dropped four straight and sit at 5-5 when defending home court.
- The Huskies last victory came on Jan. 25 when they took down West Chester, 102-89.
- Sam Saxton and Max Wagner each had 15 points to lead Bloomsburg in their recent loss to Shepherd on Saturday.
- Ky Mauras is the Huskies leading scorer, coming into Wednesday averaging 17.1 points on 45 percent shooting from the field.
- The Huskies have the fifth best overall offense and 17th ranked overall defense in the PSAC.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
- The Mounties are 65-65 against the Huskies, dating back to 1957. The schools have split their last four meetings, with the Mounties winning earlier this season and Bloomsburg downing Mansfield, 89-81 in the final meeting last season.

Mansfield remains on the road when they travel to Millersville University for a PSAC East contest on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Mounties final home stand begins on Feb. 19 against East Stroudsburg before hosting Kutztown for senior day on Feb. 22.
