MANSFIELD – Riding a three-game win streak, Mansfield will look to finish the season with a winning record when the Mountaineers travel to St. Thomas Aquinas in the season finale on Friday.

Mansfield is coming off a 34-26 win over Caldwell last week that saw the Mounties overcome a deficit three different times in the game. The Mountaineer defense forced nine turnovers in the game including three by back-to-back CSFL Defensive Player of the Week
Brandon Allen. Mansfield has recovered at least two fumbles in each of its last three games.

The three wins this season are the most in the sprint football era dating back to 2008.

Mansfield ranks sixth in the CSFL in scoring offense, averaging 22.8 points a game. The Mounties are third in interceptions (7) and first downs (17.7/game) and fourth in third down conversions (40.3%).

Bryton Barna continues to lead the Mountaineer defense while ranking fourth in the CSFL in tackles at 9.0 a game.

St. Thomas Aquinas is 2-3 in its inaugural season in the CSFL, opening the year with wins over Post and Caldwell. The Spartans have since dropped games against Army, Cornell and Chestnut Hill.

STAC quarterback Luke Sullivan is averaging 192.4 passing yards a game with a 45% completion rate. 10 of the Spartan's 11 touchdowns on the year have come through the air with Sullivan recording the lone rushing touchdown.
