Men's Basketball to Host Indiana (Pa.) in White Out Saturday

MANSFIELD – Mountaineers fans are encouraged to wear white as Mansfield University men's basketball welcomes Indiana (Pa.) to Decker Gymnasium for a PSAC match-up this Saturday.
 
Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. with live streaming video through Mountie All-Access available on any computer or mobile device at GoMounties.com/Watch. Every Mountie All-Access broadcast can also be viewed through the PSAC Network app on Amazon FireTv, Roku, AppleTV and AndroidTV.
 
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is offering free food from Papa V's Pizzeria starting at 12:30 p.m. and will give out 100 rally towels to students prior to the start of the women's game.
 
Saturday will also be Mansfield Athletics' annual Santa's Bag fundraiser to raise funds to provide gifts for children in the Mansfield area who might not otherwise receive anything on Christmas. Fans are encouraged to support the cause with a monetary donation if they are able to.
 
Mansfield (4-3, 3-1 PSAC) comes into the weekend riding a three game win streak after getting revenge on Roberts Wesleyan 82-66 on Tuesday. Malik Carter topped three Mounties in double figures with 18 points while grabbing eight boards.
 
The Mountaineer defense currently tops the conference in opponent field goal percentage holding teams to 0.389%.
 
Senior forward Matt Tamanosky continues his dominant career averaging 16.0 points and 5.0 rebounds a game. The senior is currently 11 points away from becoming Mansfield's 26th 1,000-point scorer and first to do so since Joe  Bell in 2015.
 
Senior forward Jeremiah Worthem is averaging a double-double and is coming off a career high 18 rebounds against Robert Wesleyan. Carter leads the team and is seventh in the PSAC in scoring averaging 18.9 points an outing.
 
IUP (6-4, 3-1 PSAC) took down Cheyney 92-67 in their last game. The Crimson Hawks are 6-1 in their last seven games. Jacobo Diaz and Anthony Glover Jr. lead IUP in scoring with 14.4 and 13.6, respectively. Diaz is currently averaging a double-double with 10.0 rebounds a game.
