FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Free Tickets for Wednesday Doubleheader Available at Mansfield YMCA
MANSFIELD – Mansfield University athletics has partnered with the Tioga Country Branch of the YMCA to provide free tickets to Wednesday night's PSAC East doubleheader with Cheyney University.
The free tickets are available at the Mansfield YMCA located next to the North Penn – Mansfield High School on Besanceney Drive in Mansfield.
Tip-off for the women's game is set for 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
The Mountaineer women are paced by
Katie Fitzpatrick. The senior ranks ninth in the PSAC in scoring averaging 16.5 points per game. Fitzpatrick also ranks among the conference leaders in rebounding and field goal percentage and is third best in steals.
Fitzpatrick has now scored 1,159 points and her career and needs just eight points to surpass Kathy Murphy (1992-95, 1,166) for seventh place on the Mountaineers all-time scoring list. Sophomore
Brielle Kelly is averaging 11.7 points per game.
Senior
Thomas Moore tops the men's team in scoring ranking ninth in the PSAC averaging 16.0 points per game. He is also fifth in the conference in assists with 75.
Sophomore
Matt Tamanosky also ranks among the PSAC scoring and rebounding leaders averaging 13.7 points and 6.6 boards per game. He ranks second in the conference in field goal percentage hitting 59.1% of his shots.
