FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Chapman Scores, but Women's Soccer Falls to Millersville
 
MANSFIELD – Kelsey Chapman scored her first goal of the season, but Mansfield couldn't overcome Millersville in a 3-1 loss at Karl Van Norman Field as part of the Light Up Mansfield Again 2014 festivities on Saturday, Sept. 20.
 
Millersville took an early lead when Halie Parker scored unassisted on a breakaway in the fifth minute.
 
Chapman knotted the game a 1-1 in the 33^rd minute when she dribbled into the box and slid the ball under the diving Marauder keeper. The goal was the seventh of the junior's career.
 
Millersville took the lead in the 66^th minute when Logan Neiman aimed a well-place shot into the upper right corner. Kelsey Mattola extended the Maurauders lead to 3-1 in the 74^th minute.
 
Mansfield is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when it hosts Pitt-Johnstown at Van Norman Field in just the second night game in program history.
